Thread: 2006 Random Ramblings

Not a horrible first sim, a lot of development with my specs that I'm very happy about. But theres improvements I can make to my team, and they will be made before next sim.

Hopefully Pujols puts forth a better avg. than the one he has now. But overall, it's the beginning of the season, and it'll take time for my team to gel together.

    Runs Scored: 79 (4th)

    Pitching ERA: 4.96 (18th)

Well... except for Beckett, pitching is struggling a bit... but that was expected... The offense producing like this is a very pleasant supprise though... 3 starting position players under .300, but all 3 are young progressing players.... Valverde stunk about as bad as you can as a closer in his three games, but still got a win and a save... and real happy that Johnny Damon is doing just as I needed him to. Getting on base and stealing like a madman

And WOW.... just from a quick glance... the downturn of the aging players is starting off with a BANG....

Griffey is probably the biggest one. decreasing in every statistical rating

I agree with you there Crazy.... my main curiosity though is to see exactly how fast the decline happens

Personally, I've had bad experiences with older players declining really quick. I had Bonds in another league that I was in, and he was dead after the first month or two.

I didn't even notice this injury at first. I looked at the injury report on the OOTP page and it doesn't show his injury...unless I missed it. It shows the injury on the team page and the player page though.

8-2 Sim, First place in the National League West. My offense performed OK, some guys crapped out. My pitching was, in a word, stellar.

    3-0 vs Fresno
    3-1 @ Virginia
    2-1 vs Olympia

    Good sim.
