I would have used Seattle if it wasn't already held by Crazy. But I'll consider that, even though that city is crappy and scummy!

Olympia is a good city name. If you're going to change it to West Virginia city, Oak Hill sounds good since that's where Carmelo and Luol Deng played.

Probably for the same reason most other names like the Mets, Yankees, Reds, and Giants have been changed.

I've never had a problem with anyone changing their name, but I'd like to hear everybody's opinion on this. Go ahead and post your comments in this thread. I'll post my take on this a little later.

Ok...here's my take on Name changes since I've received a couple of pm's questioning them.

Strike 3 Forums has 2 Sim Leagues at the moment. The original league is a standard MLB league with all of the MLB teams...DH for AL and no DH for AL. Everything is realistic and identical to MLB. There really is no need for two identical leagues in the same forum. When Browntown started this league, it had a lot of innovative ideas. Such as having a random draft, switching the DH rule, giving GM's the ability to change their team names, ect. When I took over the league, I wanted the league to keep it's identity and uniqueness. When the league first started, GMs changed their team names such as the Cincinnati Reds becoming the Savannah Sea Dogs and the Pittsburgh Pirates becoming the Pirates of the Caribbean. Ok... Savannah will never get an MLB team, and I doubt there will be a team in the Caribbeans, but does it matter? I don't think so. Not if the GMs are having fun with the league. This isn't a serious league. Mission's league is better for the more serious fan. This league is a little more relaxed, and gives you the ability to change your team name to anything you want. If you want a team in Las Vegas or in Russia, I don't care. I just want to run a league where everybody is having fun. I've been adding logos to as many teams as I can find ones for to add to the fun. I hope it's helping make the league better. Any thoughts?

FYI...from now on name changes are ONLY accepted in the offseason. So no more changes once the season starts.
