wtf...OK, I'm not really sure what to say, but he is asking for "$11.58 mil x 5 years" and when I entered it he said "I don't want to be tied up for so long! slowly, getting impatient." I've never seen that before...

wow............hmm, ok well do you think you could maybe just edit him a new contract at the end of the year for that amount? or if you want me to actually negotiate with him and ignore the asking price i guess i could do that too, it's up to you

I'm not editing the contract...he won't accept it for whatever reason. I don't know why it's doing that and I have no control over it. He's not a FA; he's arby eligible. He's signed through next season. If you want to negotiate, then go ahead.

I understand he's arby eligible, but he'll be a free agent after next season, so i wanted to see if i could lock him up. i'll wait until next year

hmm......i'm considering it. the only thing is that in order to lock him up i'm paying him an extra 4 mil next season (because he is getting 7.5 in arby instead of the 11.5 i would pay him). so i'm weighing the 4 mil extra vs. the benefit of locking him up now and not having to risk him starting next season on a monster tear, justifying him asking for like 18 mil instead........i'll think about it for a bit
