how so? Rodney is 24 and under control for 5 more seasons before he hits FA. One can build around a player like that. It doesn't necessarily mean a team is trying to win right now; he's not a rental.

lmao.... just because i got a better deal and prov wouldn't trade him to you....

truth is, the pitcher spect i gave up is nothing, a 2nd rounder to me isnt anything (mr fodder), my 1st round pick from this year i dont care about... seeing as how my offense isn't an issue and i dont feel like waiting another 4 years for another offensive player to develop and hit ..280 amongst a league of offensive stars.

but keep biddong in fa, have fun

and to be honest, I don't care. I feel like I don't have anything else to prove in this league. Both IF specs will be quite nice if they develop. The SP could be a 4th/5th starter depending and who knows about the pick.

I'm just saying, I know CJ wanted Fernando and I assume there's a bit of jelousy there since I pulled a deal.

Re: Trade: St. Louis - San Francisco

we were discussing a deal, but he was sort of waffling on the pick involved so I made the offer to you, which I like better because I get 2 solid 5.0 specs, a 3.5 SP spec, and a 2nd round pick instead of 1 5.0 spec and a pick.

I wouldn't say jealously, but anger. he's mad because he thought we had an official deal when I took his comments to mean he was unsure about which pick. I took what I thought was the better deal. I'm not going to get into everything else that was said or more specifics because it was through PM, but that's the main thought there.

You must not care, because this is an absolute STEAL for nick
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

it was the best deal. they're are a lot of cheap-ass mother****ers in these leagues. I'll take two top IF specs and go from there.

Just contract your team at this rate. Seems easier.

I'm not jealous at all, Rodney was one of the few options I was looking at, I got other options and I'll explore them.

And Prov, its real easy to win with a 94 mil payroll, I think most of the sim GM's could do that, not to take away your accomplishments, you've won a hell of a lot of WS, its just made easier with the payroll.

Don't hand the division over yet, fight for it

so all it takes is a high payroll? easy with a high payroll? most GMs could do it? interesting. clearly, you haven't been in leagues long enough to know any better.

my payroll is and was high because of my own players. I haven't traded for huge contracts or signed huge contracts in FA. I've made trades, drafted, and extended my own guys.

and who am I handing the division to? Chicago or Pittsburgh? Houston?

no. I didn't just dump guys and get utter crap. sure, I should have gotten more, but everyone is a ****ing tight ass in these leagues. no one wants to give up anything. everyone always complains that no one has anything good on their trade block, but then when someone does no one wants to pony up. So the alternative would be to keep everything, win again, and then listen to people complain that I won.

I want other people to win, but I'm going to apologize for the fact that I've won. All you have to do is get to the playoffs, anything can happen. My team never should have beaten KoZ in 2010 and both KoZ and I shouldn't have lost in the first round in 2018, but it's random like that. I haven't done shit to the players on my team. I've made a lot of good trades (some bad), drafted well, had good development overall, and kept my guys.

I've fixed and bumped many players on other teams! I've traded a lot of stud players away (Knipp, Butler, and others) when I didn't have to. I've still got a good team, but I would like to move other players, too. I haven't gotten any other offers for anyone else though so there isn't much I can do. Seems like no matter what I do it, it's not good enough.

I'd rather keep the talent and win. Peoples' lives will eventually go on after losing in a sim. Except for GF's
