    Batting AVG: .289 (3rd)
    Homeruns: 47 (6th)
    Walks: 167 (6th)
    Stolen Bases: 61 (9th)
    Runs Scored: 271 (3rd)

    Pitching ERA: 3.83 (2nd)
    Opponents AVG: .246 (3rd)
    HRs Allowed: 46 (T-20th)
    Walks Allowed: 157 (19th)
    Runs Allowed: 201 (3rd)

The Cubbies would like to say they enjoyed their stay at the top.

    Friday 5/5/2019
Brad Lincoln has lost some movement on his pitches...
Brad Lincoln's control seems to have taken a bump...

But it's over, he was a big part of the rotation. Not only is he still out 5 weeks, but he took a huge talent hit. And all this from back spasms. Which is kind of a lame injury to take a huge talent hit on.

I think Prov will take over first with the next sim. He's the only one besides Houston with a negative diff. But even without Lincoln, I do like my chances for a Wild Card spot.

He's absolutely carrying my offense right now.

Major shakeup coming for the Rays this sim. $5.5 mil of Jim Negrych going to AAA, $10.5 mil of Ryan Zimmerman going to the bench.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

They aren't special but most of the guys on offense have at least 8 contact and decent eye/avoid K. My bullpen is pretty strong but the rotation could take its lumps after I can ship Hughes out of here.

I start the season off shitty and get better as the year goes on.

John Stark seems to have lost some bat speed, resulting in less contact...

    Stupid injury

7-3 sim, that's more like it. Good start for Antonelli and Whitaker with Tampa, but what's wrong with Andrew Miller?

I wish San Diego's real bullpen would make an appearance sometime this sim-year.

    Thursday 6/1/2019 :
Kiichirou Mitsukuni was named American League-Batter of the Month!
He batted .320 in 100 AB, with 10 homers and 34 RBI.

Revenge of the Asian guy! Since Hideki Matsui was "Godzilla", I am dubbing Mits "Mothra"
