Vlad is a huge underachiever making a huge amount of money. Lira may be good, but is a long way from reaching his potential. The 2nd round pick should get a decent spect depending on how Maui does this year.

Booty is a great pitching spect.

I can see this trade on both sides. Maui unloads a bad contract and gets a good spect in return. Minn gives up a great spect, but gets a couple of good spects in return for taking on a ton of salary. They also take a chance on a great hitter actually waking up.
