GM's Time to vote about the future of the league

OK, as of now there are 3 opens teams and 2 or more teams that the GMs are either MIA or don't do anything beyond FA / the draft...I have a few ideas, but would like a vote. Please only vote if you are in this league.

    1. Continue running the league the way it is and try to fill the empty / inactive teams.

    2. Change the teams to CPU. The computer would run the team. I'd set the trading with AI to hard or very hard so people couldn't try to rape said teams.

    3. Contract teams down to 24. Either 6 divisions with 4 teams each (3 division winners and 1 Wild Card) or 4 divisions with 6 teams each (2 division winners and 2 Wild Cards) or 8 divisions with 3 teams each (8 division winners). I'd keep a backup file from right before any of this was done in case there was a problem.

    4. Other...if you think you have a practical idea, post it.

I vote choice two until you can get people to fill those teams (if that is possible)

Its better to Auto-Manage than to leave them open.

I have been auto managing Porter...I'm tired of doing that to be honest.

Option 2 refers to setting them to CPU and letting the computer do it. Auto manage doesn't sign FAs, do extensions, cut players, put players on the DL, or any of that crap. I shouldn't have to run more than my own team.

I'm certainly willing to take over another team or two, given certain restrictions I'm sure the league would impose upon me. It keeps me busy, and I don't think anyone would consider me underhanded.

That's the way I feel, I'd rather see someone run another team than have the computer ruin them with bad contracts.

    Yeah, no one trusts Porter.

Re: Time to vote about the future of the league

Computer-managed for another season or two and then contract if we can't fill them would be my choice.

I'd also be happy to take on a 2nd team, with whatever restrictions would need to be in place.

I'm going to be honest...I don't really like the 1 GM / 2 teams idea. I'd rather contract than do that.

i agree. but i'd also rather keep the teams on computer, at least for a year, than contract

Yeah I take on the bad contracts in S3SL. Not make them.

I didn't say I was going to contract. I just stated that I don't like the idea of one person running multiple teams...that I'd contract before I did. Right now, CPU is winning and I'll probably go with the majority.

The problem is it seems, at least so far from those that have posted, people are either in favor of CPU or totally against it. I don't really want to continue doing it how I've done and I don't want one person running more than one team. Contraction seems like the only middle ground there. We'll see.

If auto-manage doesn't sign FA's, then how did Houston sign Stephen Drew before BuckFoston took over?
