This is not constructive criticism. This league will not turn into a laughing-stock anymore than any other league as long as the GMs in it are enjoying it. If it is not for you... I think we all respect that. As someone who is roughly the same age as you... this is disappointing. Some of these statements are purely self-gratifying. They have no other purpose. I respect your OOTP skills, but not these statements that are more transparent than you realize. Please spare us the condescending facade and NEVER bring up a past War again in an attempt to enhance your S3F cred to college kids. That is by far the most offensive part of your thread. If you have really been there and done that, you wouldn't need to say it on an internet board where no one really knows anyone else. Enjoy your beer.
Pardon me??? Hmm.... when a college kid questions my maturity.... I'll bring up whatever I wish... if it is my past military status... or my being a parent of children almost as old as some of these people are

And when someone acts immature or has an idea spawned from immaturity... I will indeed point it out... as immature ideas in a game of challenge, strategy, and complexity... do absolutely nothing more than bring down the quality of the game

As for S3F cred... don't need it.... been posting with people like mission for a long time... as for cred in logic, gaming, analysis, whatever... I have that in the real world... whether it is accepted by some college kid on here is irrelevant

Maturity doesn't necessarily coincide directly with age.

I've known some 16 year olds who, IMO, are a lot more mature than some 40+ YOs I know.

maturity and age are two completely different things. There are plenty of college kids who are WAY more mature than plenty of 40 and 50-year olds. I've seen it all the time. I appreciate your military service man, there's no doubt about that. But just being in the military and a parent doesn't make you mature. You have to act it.

That was by design. I tried making most of the prospects very young and very underdeveloped. I made a lot of the closers closer to their potential so they can be ready sooner, and help our reliever problem sooner.

Thats how it is in real life. Many relievers quickly make it to the majors, while many other players take more time. There may be drafts in real life with insane amounts of talent, but quite often the players don't make the majors for 3-5 years. Relievers however can make the MLB team very quickly, like Joe Smith of the Mets for example.

Another very fair point. Or, some of them may make it, but only be marginal players. See: Alex Escobar, Steve Chilcott, The entire 1983 draft class(ok, only the top 15 or so), Brian Bullington, John VanBenSchoten, etc

I'm not a murderer...sorry, prospects don't always develop, but you've had some develop whether you want to believe it or not...
