    Roster 2009 Vancouver Vultures

    Last Season's Record: 75-87 (4th)

    Key Additions:
    RF Rick Ankiel
    LF GM Jr.
    SP Dewon Brazelton
    SP Tim Hudson
    SP Bronson Arroyo
    CL Brad Lidge
    MR Jon Maine
    MR Jason Isringhausen
    3B Ty Wigginton

    Lineups
CF Javier Herrera- Prime RoY Candidate.
DH Bobby Abreu- New additions moved him to DH
1B Paul Konerko- Its safe to say he finally got help
RF Rick Ankiel- Breakout year is possible
2B Jose Bautista- Will he strike out more than his BA? (232 BA vs 227 Ks)
LF Gary Matthews Jr- He better perform or its Torri Hunter's job to win
SS Mike Rouse- Youth is served but please don't ask him to steal bases (10 of 26 last year)
3B Ty Wigginton- Gets full time job for now, might see some time at 2B and SS as well.
CA Todd Jennings- Someone has to play catcher. Too bad he cant catch.

    Bench
    CA Carlos Ruiz- Good luck
1B/3B Lance Niekro- Wont see much time with Konerko playing 1B/primary 3B sub.
OF Torri Hunter- Could see lots of time

    Rotation
    1. Zach Greinke- Hopefully we won't waste his season like last year.
    2. Tim Hudson- Will be the veteran presence to anchor Grenkie
    3. Bronson Arroyo- Fairly cheap FA pickup should have a decent year
    4. Dewon Brazelton- PLEASE PITCH TO TALENT.
    5. John Maine- Maybe he will be better as a starter this time around.

    Bullpen
    1. Freddy Garcia- note to self: he still sucks.
    2. Chris Barcus- maybe he can fill out to become a starter down the road.
    3. Jung Bong- Pitches like hes high.
    4. Bobby Bradley- will finally get a ML look
    5. Jason Isringhausen- yes the bullpen is bad
    6. Brad Hennessey- it causes you to drink
    7. Matt Smith- Maybe he can get lefties out
    8. Brad Lidge- and hes leading the ship. god help us.

It doesnt look good for this year due to lack of depth.

Needs: another SP, 16 million gallons of Crown Royal for the bullpen, how bout a 2B/SS Backup or a guy thats better than Rouse, a Catcher that plays some defense.

I say this due to the other one pitching like crap for the Expos. And given the luck of my teams lately im praying he does win 20.
