Kyle here are the 3 players I would like to offer extensions to that are in their last year of their contract.

CF: Scott Podsednik- 2 million for 1 year
MR: Ryan Dempster- 1 million for 1 year
SP: Kerry Wood- 4 million for 2 years

Ok, well usually the way it goes is you just list the players, and I check on what they want before you make an offer. That way you may be able to sign them for less. Here's what each player said when I checked on them:

Podsednik: Wants $3.59 for 2 years
Dempster: "Please let me hear your offer!"
Wood: wants $2 mil for 2 years

O.K. give Podsednik and Wood the contracts and offer Dempster a 1.5 million 1 year deal.
