why is Cooper in there? They just dealt him with each other...

regardless, let's say Cooper = Iñiguez and Jones = Ramsdell just for the sake of argument.

Villegas for Mikkelson, Meeks, Mejias, Witherington, and Hirth. I'm not sure. Meijias is overrated for a 3.0 pitcher thanks to his 10 endurance. For a guy that said he wanted a ton of pitching, I'm not sure I understand this. An underdeveloped OF, a CL spec, and 2 more catcher specs? I'm undecided as of now...

hirth is boom or bust, jones is boom or bust, and i doubt meeks ever reaches his talent. mejias is meh... mikkelson is gonna be a beast, cooper is nice and still only 26 although it feels like hes been around since 1950, and witherington is gonna be a beast. so thats 3 really good players, 2 guys who need work to get to talent, and 2 guys who are decent but nothing special... 1 with the potential to be something special (meeks). the two guys anaheim is giving up with villegas are meh. i think its a zito deal, alot of maybes with a ton of talent. i dont think its far enough off to fail it, i think its pretty close as is, and if meeks ever comes close to his talent and produces, then anaheim might actually win it. villegas is gonna straight rake in wrigley though. pass. i dont like that they threw around cooper like that though... so if somebody wants to auto fail it on that basis, i wouldnt be above changing my vote simply on that.

I'm with Hammer here, I don't want to just repeat everything he said, so pass, although I think the Cooper thing is ridiculous.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

I don't feel that Anaheim is getting enough potential superstars in this deal. I feel like for Villegas you should get two surefire superstars, and I don't see them in this deal.

    Fail.

I concur with General...not enough quality for the best hitter in the sim. 2 pass, 2 fail.

    Re: Los Angeles(A) - Chicago(N)

I'm leaning toward Hammer and Brownie that this deal is enough return for Villegas. A combination of guys that are both super talented and fairly well-developed. I'm a bit torn because I can't imagine how one team could have enough talent to trade for both Villegas and Davila, but both trades seem fair to me. I think he probably could get more for the best player in the history of the league, but its enough of a return that I think failing it would be unfair, and its not like Zito is someone we really need to protect from getting bamboozled here, he knows what he's doing and what risks he's taking with this deal.

    Pass.

Edit: I changed my mind about Hirth being an elite prospect. Anaheim ought to get another Mikkelson-type prospect in the deal.

    Nay.

I was avoiding this, but I think he can get more for the superstar.

    I'm going to fail.
