Not sure if Davila is worth all that talent, but he's a superstar and this is the type of thing he commands, I suppose.

    I'll pass.

Talked to DMB about this, I think it's too much especially considering the kinda seasons Davila and Cooper are having, I'd pass it maybe if they took out the picks, gonna fail this one.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

I'm seriously considering not allowing draft picks to be traded unless it's that current year only...the game doesn't let you enter future picks and it makes more work for me as I have to then make up a trade once the game rolls over to the next season...then I have to trade the players back. it's a real pain in my ass. it's bad enough I'll have to enter this as 2 separate deals since the game only allows 1 team to trade 5 players I swear, I think KoZ does this shit on purpose to annoy me sometimes...

    pass.

    Re: Los Angeles(A) - Chicago(N)

oh, and I'll be quite interested to see what kind of package he gets for Villegas assuming he does strike a deal for him. Here is what he wanted from me:

    SP 5.0 spec Butler (9,6,9,10)
    SP 5.0 spec Knipp (10,10,8,10)
    SP 4.5 spec Cashman (8,9,7,7)
    MR 5.0 spec Cambra (10,9,10,3)
    MR 5.0 spec Hernandez (10,8,8,5)
    MR 5.0 spec Rabinowitz (9,9,9,4)

in other words my entire pitching staff minus Street and Harden. All of those guys except Rabinowitz (in AAA) are in the majors now, filled out, and contributing...that kind of defeats the purpose of the deal for me unless Harden is going to pitch every game for me.

I realize that Villegas is a special player, but god damn, 5 major league ready pitching prospects? I don't think so. I probably wouldn't even make the playoffs after making that trade

Aye, that's scary. The only reason this deal passed was that none of the spects were filled out.

I can't imagine giving up Weishaar, Levin, Kent and Romero for one player, personally, and I'm almost positive that would be the type of package he'd ask of me for Villegas.

    Re: Los Angeles(A) - Chicago(N)

yea, well I can only figure it was his way of saying he didn't want to work out a deal with me...I don't need Villegas and his D has been terrible this year...as has Davila's. Those guys are better suited as DHs to be honest. I just wanted to see and thought I might be able to swing something with the hopes of the gain in offense outweighing the loss in D as Santos is playing much better D. He says he wants specs and isn't trying to contend, but if I made that deal he might have been able to take the West since he's so close now as it is.

edit: oh, and I've think it's been demonstrated that pitching is more valuable in this league. look what happened in the world series I face him in 2010...and how Harden owned the 2012 playoffs. As good as Davila, Kendrick, and Villegas have been, he didn't win shit with them. I think he realizes that is now trying to cash in on people not realizing that pitching > hitting and get a ton of pitching...well, not from me anyway
