Disclaimer: The current league roster set is a modification of Cubbyfan's 2007 rosters. What I did was I ran a fantasy draft, simmed 3 seasons, then ran another fantasy draft. The reason I did this is because I wanted every team to get a relatively balanced roster set. I want the best teams to be the best because of good management, not because of a good selection of team based on the first-come-first-serve basis. As the roster set is right now, I believe the league to be fairly balanced.

I have also forced CPU-assigned contracts on all the players. The salaries as they are now reflect the players' current ratings with regards to the ML-scale. Basically, each player is getting paid roughly what they're worth. Some contracts of the really young players who would have made 300K in real life were a little on the preposterous side. As it is, figuring arbitration to take its toll in the near future, I edited most of the ridiculous ones out.

On the other hand, the reason for the 3 simulated seasons was that I wanted to develop some of the younger players in the league. Generally speaking, the first few years in OOTP are relatively slow, and the top-level prospects that are from real life aren't treated too kindly. I wanted to get the players who were in the minor league systems closer, which ultimately resulted in some players boosting, some regressing (most likely due to injury). In essense, I "juiced" the development ratings for the 3 simmed seasons; now the league has talent to pick from. Do NOT however expect the same beastly progression levels; they have been toned down to normal levels. As it is, older players will not rapidly regress as before, so keep that in mind as well. No need to avoid a squad whose star is 34; he'll prolly give you 4 more years of top production.
