I stole that from your other thread. I can't believe I blew the division after leading it for most of the season. Still a 91-71 season after going 61-101 last year. Congratulations to Milwaukee for winning the NL Central though. This seems like it could be a very tough division for years to come. I know I had the youngest team coming into this season. So I hope to stay competitive for a while. Jason Hirsh's arm is my only hope against Florida in the playoffs.

Jason Hirsh seems to have taken his game to the next level!

Ill take the 1 game win over a much improved AL West. Now the bigger task at hand is going after Boston in round 1. #1 vs #3 in Team ERA.

If anyone knows any GM with skill and time who wants to take on Florida, start thinking about them. Because I don't have the time to fix a team who's stars either slowly die (Zito, Petit, Miggy) or outprice themselves (Willis and to some extent Burrell.) Without Willis, my team is ****ed. 140 million dollar contract gets thrown back in my face and there is no way I will be able to resign him in the offseason, this blows.

See had Zito stayed an ace at 9-8-9, Petit still had 7-8-10 talent and Marquis was a reasonable 7-8-7 versus the bloated shitty contract he is now... I wouldn't feel like my team is crushed.

8 8 8 is still good, for Zito
Both have good potential... 8-9-8 is on level with 7-8-10, I think.
I can understand losing Cabrera being rough. Sucks anytime to see a great player to start dipping. Kotchman and Blake are pissing me off, as are every damn reliever in my minors who would gain talent for a week and then die.

And I think Bradley blooming late kinda makes up for a few things.

Not at all. He already had talent, just never boomed. It's nice, but offering your ace 140 million and still losing him is not on the level of getting an above average starter to bloom. I loss my ace, Zito is a bloated contract even if he is still a fine pitcher, Marquis is worthless, and Petit is solid but over his talent ratings and is no D-Train. Wood emerged (again) to give me a solid prospect, so that was something.

Plus FA looks to be one of the better ones for Starting Pitchers.

Granted none are 26 yrs old like Willis but there are certainly a few top shelf options for those who need it.

Willis won't even dig 24 mil per for 7 years (168 mil) according to Zito. Wow.

I hope he gets gangrene in his arm and it flops off while he's in the middle of his stupid delivery. Communist.

Carpenter is being the same way, so don't feel bad.

Carpenter is older and injury prone...Willis is much better and hurts more IMHO.

Yeah, losing a 9-9-9 guy is a soft blow. Sure.
