My Pitching Continues to dominate, however my offense just can't score enough runs to become an elite team. I'm at the point where Snacks Galaz gets promoted to play 3B and Richardson replaces Lieby behind the plate. THis would make two players playing out of position. Harman being the other, has hit over .330 since starting in RF. How? Dunno. Either way its just not enough of a spark to get some runs in. FIgure if I have another solid bat at the 8 slot, someone should score. But in Lihgt of this ok news, I realize Myers is about to become FA eligilble so I have to start negotiations with him.

Whoever was the Devil Rays GM before this...I want to hug him for keeping that minor league system intact.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

It's quite possible I have set a record for injured players and most games lost to injury. This is getting rediculous.

Balt did well... The sad thing is Crosby was active for about 13 days while he was injured and now he will be on the DL for another 13 days while he is healthy.... Oh well....

Another guy I traded for at the deadline gets hurt...

Jose Lopez was injured while throwing a ball.
    Diagnosis: Torn Ligament Elbow.
He is definitely out for the season!

*Sigh* May play Bartlett there just to see if the trend continues and it puts him out of his misery. Thank God for the pitching staff thats about the ONLY way I've stayed in this race.

I love having a winning sim and losing ground...5 games out in the division and 4 out in the Wild Card. Reed will be back from injury in 3 days.

St. Louis' Rich Harden had a terrific July, and it earned him the National League Pitcher of the month award. His record of 4-1 in 6 was among the leagues best this month. In 39.2 innings of work he allowed just 26 hits while striking out 40, compiling an ERA of just 1.13.

I gained some ground that sim...4 back in the division and 3 back in the Wild Card.

Haren lost some control talent after having gained some...7,7,9 out of 9,8,10. Santos is filling out more having increased his power to 7 out of 9. Carbajal learned 3B and increased his range at 2B and SS...10's for all 3.

    Batting AVG: .254 (17th)
    Homeruns: 148 (3rd)
    Walks: 405 (17th)
    Stolen Bases: 171 (8th)
    Runs Scored: 594 (18th)

    Pitching ERA: 3.67 (4th)
    Opponents AVG: .245 (4th)
    HRs Allowed: 74 (1st)
    Walks Allowed: 330 (1st)
    Runs Allowed: 516 (3rd)

I've scored less runs than both MIL and CHC...and that seems to be the difference right now as I'm -2, MIL +1, and CHC +3. I should be tied for the division with MIL. We're on pace to win more than 90 games...I just hope I can make the playoffs.

5-7 sim, somehow didn't lost any hold on the AL East division

    3-0 vs DET
    1-2 vs SEA
    0-3 vs TOR
    1-2 @ MIN

    Batting AVG: .266 (7th)
    Homeruns: 141 (7th)
    Walks: 419 (11th)
    Stolen Bases: 72 (30th)
    Runs Scored: 677 (3rd)

    Pitching ERA: 3.74 (5th)
    Opponents AVG: .247 (5th)
    HRs Allowed: 97 (4th)
    Walks Allowed: 358 (7th)
    Runs Allowed: 530 (5th)

Josh Beckett was injuried for a week, that hurt my team.

propsect CF Walter Talamantez, increased his contact rating from 5 to 6, putting him one step closer to starting.

what a horrible sim, amazing that Baltimore didn't pass on by.
    3-7 sim

    0-1 @ MIN
    2-1 @ TB
1-1 vs NYA - almost lost both games but scored 11 runs in the 9th to win one
0-4 vs CHA - swept for goodness sakes

Don't know whar else I do right now but mess with the lineup for now.

The Magic Number is 9. I said I just wanted to win and I won more than the 70 games that Zito thought I wouldn't make. All I need is a winning sim and I'm in the playoffs

up 2 in the wild card with 13 games to go... jason bay should get some mvp consideration, but then again villegas probably should too, and theyll probably take away from each other. my team intrigues me, but not enough to feel comfortable at the moment.
