2) San Diego - 3B Johnny Perelta ANA
With their frist pick San Diego selects 3B/ss Johnny Perelta from ANA. Orginialy this pick going to Todd Ziele. But at the last minute choosing Perelta. San Diego Likes Perelta Across the boards and feels he will fit in the number 3 spot playing third. Also his popularity is a plus. And his number one fan base is only an hour up the 5 freeway, hopefully this will bring some fans down.

5) San Diego - Jauque Jones VAN
With the fith pick overall. Which San Diego admits could have waited. Sd selectes Vetran OF Jauque Jones from Van. Good ratings in Contact and Gap. and Projects as a 15 HR Guy. Has a bit of popularity. And a decent Contract.

8) San Diego - SP Clint Everts BRK
With the eighth pick overall the Surf dawgs selected Clint Everts from BrK.
" we are still suprised he fell this far" said Gm lightningMcQueen.. " We had him tabbed as one of the top 6 Picks." Everts brings a 24 year old fully developed SP that will move into the rotation immediatly. As well as Playoff expirience. The only downside is his prone injury rating that has already put him on the Dl several times in his carrer.

Russ Adams a 28 year old SS with Great Ratings. Will be a starter and fan favorite for many years to come. Projects tot he 8 or 6 hole.

Izturis will be a 2B in San Diego. Unless we can trade for a 2B in that case he will be a SS (his more natural) position and move Russ Adams to the Bench.
