Expansion Draft Question

While it does have merit, I don't think that I'm necessarily in favor of having it - though I don't have strong feelings against it. I just didn't think the idea should be summarily dismissed.
I'd like to hear what the expansion GMs have to say on the matter though.

It would be very difficult.. because the majority of GMs had enough room in the 25 to take everyone on their ML roster and still take quality minor leaguers. There are some exceptions of course, but on my team after the draft there will be maybe 5 guys with 1.5 or so million contracts. Then the rest being 300k. Barring any team decide to let large contracts, I don't see any expansion team having over maybe 15 mil.. We'll get over 15 mil after free agency though..

$15Mil is more than Alaska's entire payroll.

hmm.. i underestimated that 15 mil, with 5 1.5 contracts be more like 20 mil.. but yeah, Alaska looks like what the expansion teams will look like.

I'm working on building the expansion teams financial reports. I need to know how much cash to give each team to start out with. What do you guys think is a fair amount?
