The much awaited return of Tulo to the lineup, as well as the return of Brett Myers to Milwaukee after being traded earlier in the season to Olympia. Brett comes back and gets an immediate 4 year extension to have his improved services back on the ballclub.

This was a disappointing SIM for the Brew Crew. only 5-5, even with those returns of important players. Shockingly lost a game to Alaska, which sort of set the tone for the entire SIM.

Batting AVG: .262 (15th)
Homeruns: 93 (2nd)
Walks: 284 (5th)
Stolen Bases: 100 (6th)
Runs Scored: 423 (2nd)

Pitching ERA: 4.15 (13th)
Opponents AVG: .253 (11th)
HRs Allowed: 62 (14th)
Walks Allowed: 257 (18th)
Runs Allowed: 346 (13th)

Batting average still low considering the talent on this team, but the power on the team makes it so that even with being bottom 1/2 in BA, I am top 2 in runs scored. Pitching is shockingly average. Hopefully with Myers back, Witt anchoring the staff, and some hopeful upcoming progression from Ballester and Jackson, I'll get up to top 5-7 sometime soon.

Progression this SIM was not all that.

Ryan Church decreases his Overall Contact from 7 to 6 .
Never like to see that, even from a bench player
Chris Lubanski increases his Overall Contact from 8 to 9 .
Chris Lubanski increases his Gap vs Righties from 8 to 9 .
Chris Lubanski increases his Overall Gap Power from 8 to 9 .
Good all around for the offensive player who was holding the team together in Tulo's absence
Troy Tulowitzki decreases his Contact vs Righties from 8 to 7 .
Troy Tulowitzki decreases his Contact vs Lefties from 8 to 7 .
Troy Tulowitzki decreases his Overall Contact from 8 to 7 .
At least the talent did not drop during his injury.....

SIM Results:
2-1 .vs Alaska
2-1 .vs FLA
1-2 .vs VA
0-1 .vs LOU

Alaska Series:
The Good - 31 runs scord in 3 games
The Bad - 16 runs scored against us by a pretty weak team
The Ugly - 7 hits against was the best this talented Milwaukee pitching staff could limit this team to.
The Shocker - Eric Brunlett with an actual pinch hit HR in game 3. Normally known for his prominent base stealing (23 steals is top 10 in NL even though he is a bench player)

FLA Series:
The Good - Backup catcher Michael Olivo (been starting sinve the injury to Sainz) FINALLY with some offensive production. His HR in game 1 was much needed.
The Bad - The bullpen with 6ER in 6.2 innings in this series, lowlighted by the rookie Erbe with 5 ER in his appearance
The Ugly - Shutout in game 2 of this series. This team should never get shut out, I don't care which team or pitcher we are up against.
The Shocker - Being shut out is one thing, but only 2 hits against a 2.5 star mid 30's starting pitcher??? c'mon!!

VA Series:
The Good - Bobby Witt with a 1 ER, 11K 0BB performance in 7.1 innings in the oly win in this series. GO BOBBY!!!!
The Bad - Chris Shelton 1-11 with 5K's in this series, slacking in the role of providing lineup protection for the big bats in the 3-5 lineup slots.
The Ugly - CC Sabathia with a real crap performance. Bad considering he was a real consistent anchor while in the #2 spot in the rotation. 7 ER, 12 H, and 3 BB in 6 IP, pee-eww
The Shocker - Brian Fuentes, Milwaukee's most consistent setup reliever, gives up an earned run, just his second in June.

LOU Series:
The Good - 2 doubles by Eric Brunlett in the only game in this series
The Bad - Those 2 doubles were 40% of the hits in the game, and the only ones for extra bases (and they did not come until the game was well out of hand in the 7th and 9th innings)
The Ugly - Julio Mateo with 4 ER in 1.1 IP in relief
The Shocker - Milwaukee giving up 6 RBI to a player that came into the game in the 7th inning as a pinch hitter

Player of the SIM:
Welcome back to Tulo..... Only a .273 BA for the SIM, but .556 SLG%, 3HR, 12RBI, and even a stolen base in the SIM
