at LaVar Arrington! This would signal to me that if they get Arrington they might move their #1 pick last year David Pollack back to his natural position, DE.

If they get Arrington, I'd really like to see them switch to a 3-4. They have the talent for it and they don't really have a second interior lineman.

Smith-Thornton-Geathers/Pollack on the line with Arrington-Thurman-Webster-Simmons at linebacker would be much better than having Robinson or Shaun Smith on the line.

edit: Though Pollack would need to beef up a little to move back to DE, he's only like 255 right now and he'd get abused in the 3-4 in that scenario. He lost some weight when he got to the team so I could see him doing it.

Webster wont be in that mix. I would see Landon Johnson at that position.

I'm wary of Landon's ability to play inside, but it oculd certainly work, though there might be a learning curve where he's not so good.

We have Dexter Jackson and might be getting close to Sam Adams. We had also talked to Will Demps before.

    Not bad.

I just hope Lewis' supposed defensive mind can take hold this coming season with what should be an improved defensive unit.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
