Is Pops hurt, re-injure himself? They mentioned he wasn't in the lineup against Duke. Duke's handling GDub fairly easily.

Basketball is basketball. Even if it is the less fortunate.

The NIT just determines who the 66th best team is. It won't matter until the winner gets an automatic bid into the following year's NCAA tourney.

I don't really buy that the NIT determines the 66th "best" team. The teams who don't get at-large bids and wouldn't get in without the automatic bid aren't as good as some of the better NIT teams usually. Of course some of the NIT teams can make a case as being better than some of the bubble NCAA Tournament teams who got in the tournament.

I just don't buy the idea that the team who wins the NIT is the 66th best team in the country very often.

It's a shame the NIT doesn't get enough recognition. It would be great if television networks like ESPN or ESPNEWS would cover the games alongside with the NCAA Tournament. Seems like they don't give a **** about them despite some worthy teams that could've been in it.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett
