in one week the Edmonton Oilers get 3 goals disallowed on them.

1 of them was the right call (vs Calgary last Saturday), the one vs Minnesota on Thursday that was clearly a goal (the goal judge in Minnesota said no goal), and another one tonight that was in logically but was shown not to be clearly in.

*note all of the disallowed goals were at very important times in the game

Luc Robitaille will retire after the season. He won't have a final crack at the playoffs, but he does have a championship ring from his stay at Detroit. Me thinks Ovechkin, if the Caps don't switch him to center or right, will surpass Luc as the highest scoring left wing, but for Luc to last 19 seasons in the NHL is a great accomplishment in itself.

Per LA Times:

Dean Lombardi will be introduced as the Kings' new general manager, perhaps as soon as Friday, replacing Dave Taylor, who was part of an extensive housecleaning Tuesday.

Taylor, who was the team's general manager for nine years, and other key management personnel were fired, the day after the Kings completed a disappointing season. Lombardi, a former general manager for the San Jose Sharks, has been hired to take over, multiple league sources said.

Lombardi had a good track record with the Sharks and he wasn't the one who traded Kiprusoff for a 2nd round pick. Still, it's unlikely Anschutz and Lie-weekly will give Lombardi the free rein. Plus, Sharks fans seem to think Lombardi only did well in San Jose because of Sutter.
