oh we aren't messaging when its our turn??

In my opinion, the DEN/MIA game was the biggest suprise for me. Who would expect miami, who was predicted to lose atleast 1/2-3/4ths of their games, to win against DENVER, who is expected to win the AFC West. 426 total yards for miami, totaling 21 first downs, compared to denvers 19, 275 passing for MIA, 151 rushing...and heres probably the biggest stat for you--8-for-15 on 3rd down conversions. compared to a 1-for-12 in denver!! if denver wants to atleast be considered for the west title, they're gunna have to do better than that... i think i saw atleast 3 or 4 instances where denver was in the redzone and they failed to score, twice atleast on the 1 yard line. Nick Saban is now GOD in miami.

Very good stuff...but Saban a GOD after one game? Come on now!

Moving along... yet more NFL. Ben Roethlisberger had a solid game for the Steelers Sunday, even though he didn't throw many passes. Some had predicted a Sophmoe Slump for him, and for at least one game, there is no slumping going on. Do you guys think Big Ben will have a Sophmore Slump this year? Around The Horn to ghetto...

saban is a god in MIAMI i said, and considering last seasons performance i'd call him god too.

I hardly call 9/11 with 218 passing yards a slump...i hardly call 2 td's in those 9 passing completions a slump. This guy is for real. He probably won't be getting a lot of attempts a game though, considering a lot of PITT's plays are circled around the running game. As long as he keeps his arm going and charges the ball down field there will be no slump for this man, he will be good. but until they get a good passing game going down there he won't have many passing yards.

Big Ben is very similar to Trent Dilfer for the championship winning Ravens team. He doesnt have to do much only throw 9 for 11 for 2 TDs. thats all. But when you running game can click just about anyone running behind them just see these #'s from Sunday

Parker 22 att, 161 yards, TD
Haynes 11 att, 33 yards, TD

Parker averaged 7 yards a carry, which is insane for a single game. I dont expect a slump at all.

    Nice comparison.

Moving along...to Buy or Sell... college football style. Notre Dame did it again...with a win AT Michigan this weekend. This was a pure stunner and a major feather in the cap of Coach Weiss. Guys, buy or sell the Irish making a bowl game this year.

    Porter?

Buy it, even though Michigan may very well be overrated. The offense will put points up on the board, something that Ty Willighams teams weren't able to do. All they have to do is win 6 games and any bowl will let them in.

you just HAD to throw this in didn't ya.

but you gotta buy this. The last new Notre Dame coach to start 2-0 on the road was named Rockne, and that was at the end of World War I. I think though that the Oct. 15th vs USC will show us just how ready they will be for a bowl game.

Great team history and it's been that long... Excellent point...

Continuing... with MLB. Barry Bonds is being activated from the DL tonight. You would expect him to hit some HR, but no one is sure how many. Guys, buy or sell Barry hitting at least 5 HR before the end of the year. ATH to ghetto...
