    Alright alright alright..

Out of Bounds, lets go git'r done!

We are now talking tennis...the US Open to be specific. Andre Agassi making his 20th straight appearance, possibly his last...and then there are the usual suspects: Federer, Sharapova, Roddick, and the Williams sisters.

Guys..do you care about the US Open? Around the Horn to Bwitty.

As a tennis player I love watching the open and going is just an experience in and of itself. On a day in the early rounds you can see great tennis on the outside courts which is amazing. It would be nice to see someone win besides federer though although that is unlikely to happen. Roddick's amazing serve is so exciting to see. With the women's tourny being so wide open it is gunna be good. Sharapova, clijsters, serena, venus, davenport, hennin hardenne...anyone from the women's side can win.

Ah I was hoping to post some Anna Kournikova photos oh well.

Tennis is the sport of Lords and Ladies (except for the occasional screwball) with more history in Europe than the United States. When was the last time you saw one of these players dressed like an average blue collar worker? I dont mind playing for fun but the only reason I would care about the US Open is if Im battling insomnia.

I don't really care for tennis as much as I used to. I was buying the A-Rod hype for a while, but it has progressively grown old on me, his serve is impressive, but other than that Federer dominates Andy every aspect of the game. We'll hear everything from ESPN leading up the Open about how Andy has improved from Wimbledon, only to see him get embarassed again by Roger. If I wanted to watch maybe the best male tennis player of all time win the Open I'd probably watch, but until an exciting American has a shot to win I'll probably only briefly watch a few of Roddick's matches. The women's game does not intrigue me.

First topic..the Lions playing The Rams tonight. However..we here at Around the Horn dig deeper into aspects of sports and will pit the coaches against each other. So, Slyder..who is the better head coach, Martz or Mariucci?

Who kept Terrell Owens happy the longest? Martz Inherited a Super Bowl Caliber Team and choked, now they are an average team, Martz's only saving grace is that the rest of the division sucked as much or worse than the Rams did. Give me Mooch.

Do I have to choose one? Ok. I've got to agree with Slyder here. Martz is a terrible gameday coach, he can plan an offensive gameplan better than any coach out there, but he still fails to utilize his RB's properly during the game and he thinks he actually knows what he is doing when it comes to defense (see: his brilliant blitzing schemes against Vick and the Falcons in the playoffs last year). Mooch is starting to put together a decent offense in Detroit, although I'd imagine they'll have to bring in a different coach to get them to the next level. At least he doesn't suck as bad as Martz though.

Point to Mariners. Mooch isn't a good coach, sly. Not even close.

Next topic...Andruw Jones and his 42 HRs and 102 RBIs. Is he the MVP? Mariners?
