Buy, especially now that you have mentioned Selig is involved in talks about the 2 tests in question. When we heard about the 10 day suspensions regarding Alex Sanchez, Rafael Betancourt, Ryan Franklin, and those other Bill Romanowskis of baseball, did we hear Selig say that their tests were in question? No, even the crickets were asleep then. So now with talk that there are two positive drug tests that have the potential to bring MLB to their knees and Selig is saying they are in question, suspicion has to be raised to an all-time level. Considering Palmeiro tested positive in May and his suspension was handed only recently, the commissioner's office is reluctant in revealing the sport's big names. It is hiding something that it doesn't want the public to know, perhaps that two of its biggest stars are using illegal performance enhancing drugs. Can you imagine if McGwire was handed a suspension for violating the drug policy while his alleged aided by drugs performance on the field was one of the major reasons fans came back to the games?

BUY. By the time Franklin was caught, his suspension may have served more than punishment to the Mariners. He may have even served his time off as a relief to the M's pitching. I think he has sucked this season. 4.99 ERA isn't exactly something to miss. I think this team should and will designate him real soon.

Sell..let's not get ahead of ourselves now. Before his start against the Angels today, he was actually decent in his last 5 games, compiling a 3.93 ERA for the month of July. The M's are not contending right now, so there's really no reason for them to overhaul the rotation and risk injury to their young pitchers from the minor leagues. Jorge Campillo will be shelved for some time and MarinersFan87 has said Felix Hernandez will see limited action in the rotation as the season progresses. The M's would be wise to use their veteran pitchers to grind out the rest of the season.

You gotta buy this. Franklin was garbage before, and now it turns out he's dirty? The Mariners have no use for him. He has a 4.61 ERA, 64:47 K:BB ratio, which is not good. He won't start for anyone, and I highly doubt anyone will take a shot at him, keeping in mind the fact that he's not young nor does he have any potential (32 year old SP steroid users aren't in high demand). He's going to be DFA, and nobody is going to pick him up. Not even the Yankees.

buy. seeing how sanchez was just DFNYY (to quote general), i think franklin will follow suit. No one wants that taint on their franchise long. He'll join some minorleague team and enjoy the busrides.

I'm selling this. Woods is 6 back, with 1 round to go. Mickelson and Davis Love III are tied at the top with -6, and Woods is E. Woods would have to get a couple of hole-in-ones to even THINK about it. I predict Lefty will hold off Love and get the win.

Sell..did you see Thomas Bjorn today? He shot a 63, the lowest score in majors history! Phil Mickelson will fade like he has done so many times before his one win in Augustus, but Tiger will not be taking over the leaderboard tomorrow. Tiger still has 19 players to leap over, including defending PGA champion Vijay Singh. Davis Love and Retief Goosen are not chopped liver, either. I predict that Davis will hold on to the top of the leaderboard, as he's shot 3 straight 68s.
