    Joe Johnson, a Hawk?

Well, it's true, some sources say that the Suns don't want to match the 5 yr, 70 mill offer by the Hawks to Joe Johnson. If Hawks can get Johnson at a deal like this. I have to point at the Cavs and call them complete morons. Johnson is a great player and Hawks will only improve with the addition of him.

I don't know if I would call the Cavs morons. If I remeber correctly the Suns pretty much said they would match anything so Cleveland probably thought it's better not to mess with this guy since we can't get him. If Pheonix is changing their mind all of sudden that is great for Atlanta, but I don't think it makes Cleveand stupid.

There's nothing wrong with the Cavs signing Larry Hughes. 22ppg, 6rpg, 3spg, nearly 5apg.. All defensive team, probably would have been an allstar if not hurt at that time. Johnson pretty much was running in a similar fun and gun offense.

Great move for Billy Knight on calling Phoenix's bluff. If Phoenix matches then they are dub. You can't have 5 max contract players, and win a championship. You need depth, and you can not have depth if your entire bench is playing for the league minimum.

Atlanta plans on playing Joe Johnson at the point guard position. It isn't his natural position, but he is a good enough passer & ball handler to make it work. It would give the Hawks one of the longest and most versatile starting line ups in the league. If Atlanta can draft a big man in next year's draft, then the rebuilding will be over.

The word is the Suns won't match because Amare's payday is coming up, and they're saving the money for him.

So the Hawks get a good player, that will play like crap for the Hawks, just like everyone else that's good that they get. BTW, doesn't he play the same positions as Childress and Smith?

Cavaliers should've been patient enough to have given Johnson a offer and see if Suns would've matched it. They didn't take the risk. So, in a sense they are morons. They should've taken the risk.

Hopefully Hughes works out for them.

Hughes is better then skipping on him and not getting either. They made the right move.

Risking it might not have paid the reward. The CAvs made a good decision.

Boris Diaw might just score 5ppg in the suns offense.
