I just wanted to dedicate this post to Dan O'Brien, whose pure idiocy gives Reds fans a full range of emotion almost every single day, from anger to laughter. Although your time as GM will be short, it will have been anything but sweet. I hope you enjoy your career in politics!

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

You're definitely Statboy. Get a pic of Statboy and photoshop it with a Ukrainian flag.

    However, this looks much better.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

Do you want to be a panelist on the show? Can you bring the heat with anyone in the forum. If you want to be that person send a PM to Me and we will get you in the rotation. If enough people sign up then we could have 2 shows.

Is that General by any chance? Or are you another Braves/John Smoltz fan?

Welcome to the show of competitive banter, again. My apologies for being late...I thought today was Sunday.

Anyhow, I'd like to welcome our panelists:

    The returning champ, CincyRedsFan.

The resident Cleveland Tribe fan, Guybrush.

Everyone's favorite sarcasm machine, KingdomOfZito, who will be our resident guest of the day.

Lastly, since Porter bailed on us, his replacement, the great Slyder himself.

    Today is big word Monday!

    Without further audeu...Horn-time!

We start off the day, as usual, with the Yanks-s0x series. Boston was the clear favorite going in, with Bostonians talking about a sweep. Instead, the Yanks took 3 outta 4, and now find themselves .5 games back. So folks...who will end the week in 1st place in the AL East? Around the Horn to Slyder.

The mantra remains true Offense puts butts in the seats but pitching wins championships. The Yankees do not have the pitching nor do they have the pieces to go out and get good pitching at the deadline they need. The Red Sox will win because they have a better depth in the rotation and could have better depth in the middle especially if Schilling can get going in the pen.
