i think the wings take it in 5.

i wonder how much of the increased coverage was helped by chicago making it deep in the playoffs? hockey was absolutely dead in chicago for years, but in the past year or so, its made a tremendous rebound.

Big impact I am sure. Chicago can be a great hockey town and hopefully this core they have continues to play great because it'll definitely help the NHL to continue to rebound (albeit as slow as the NHL can muster.)

I thought the salary cap was supposed to prevent teams like Detroit from getting impact free agents like Hossa.

red wings are very smart with their money though, they put a limit that their best player makes the top money, Lidstrom getting 7.45, so sooner or later Datsyuk will be the barfor someone who wants to win a cup next

its a crime they got Zetterberg locked long term at 6.083 million, not mention Datsyuk at 6.7 million

they barely pay anything on goalies, Osgood and Conklin together make roughly 2.16 million

and Detroit is always great at drafting with low picks

One of the funniest things about hockey at this time is the playoff facial hair. I love how just about every player has a full grown beard like they've been on a deserted island for years, only Cindy Crosby has trouble growing even a little prepubescent mustache.

Detroit is just lucky that Chris Osgood is unbeatable in the playoffs but not good enough in the regular season that another team will overpay to get him.

One of the most fantastic games I have ever seen. Rob Scuderi is on a level of hero worship now.

    Go Pens!!!

I hope the Penguins can win this. If it couldn't be the Avs then anyone other then the Redwings.

This last game was incredible. Scuderi was amazing. He ALMOST blew it by trying to put his hand on the puck in the crease there though, he got lucky it was knocked away. The Pens defense was just excellent this game.

Marc-Andre Fleury made a series-saving save on that breakaway with 3 min left. If Detroit gets that tying goal, they win it. Congrats to him. Now we'll find out if he can play away from home.

If this game goes to 7 games in Detroit which it looks to be heading that way. It is going to be nearly impossible for the Penguins to win the Cup. The Penguins need to take the next game in Detroit and win it in 6.

It is. How did I miss 2 games. I thought the series was tied 2-2 not 3-3. Well than it is going to be nearly impossible for the Penguins to win in Detroit in game 7. I am sticking by that.

It all rests on Fleury. If he can play like he did today in Detroit, the Pens take it. If not, they're sunk.
