Which big man would you rather have?

I'm going off of Thabeet's claims that Psycho T and Harangody aren't that good. So do you want the projected lottery pick center who's 7'3 and blocks a shit ton of shots, but is largely a raw talent or do you want the guys with great college stats, worth ethic, hustle, heart, all the other Jay Bilas terms that doesn't have the coveted ceiling?

Thabeet: 13ppg, 10rpg, 3.7 bpg, shoots 61% from the foul like (down from 69 as a Soph)

Harangody: 25ppg, 13rpg, shoots over 35% from 3 and 82% from foul line

Hansbrough: 23ppg, 8rpg, shoots over 52% from the field, 84% from the foul line



Simple question, who would you rather have on your NBA team or if you don't really have an NBA team, who do you think is the better pick for an NBA team?

Tough call, because I'm not sure Hansbrough or Harangody have enough pure talent to make it BIG in the NBA, but Thabeet is much more of a risk. I'm gonna say Thabeet, because of the mantra "you can't teach height". If you can develop him, you can make him GREAT.

Hansborough no question. Thabeet sucks in the big game, and Harangody has a bad shooting percentage. Psycho T can do it all.

Unfortunately, 6'9" 250 plus work ethic may not be enough to play PF in the NBA...cuz he definitely won't be a center. He's even admitted he's not the most purely gifted athlete in the gym.

Paul Millsap, Brandon Bass, Leon Powe, all the PFs on Houston, etc. have opened the door for Hansbrough and Harangody to have a chance to be power fowards in the NBA.

Unfortunately, I would say that if Hansbrough and Harangody are capable of being comparable to those guys...and Thabeet (I would say) could be comparable to a Dikembe Mutumbo, I'd MUCH rather have Thabeet, even if it is a risk.

If Hansbrough is such a marginally talented player then why is he considered the best college basketball player in the country? Why give Troy Smith the Heisman if he can't even measure up to Trent Edwards as a pro?
