Which pro sport has the worst officiating?

Umps, refs, officials, moving targets.. whatever.

To be fair, the only two sports I watch avidly enough to have a fair opinion of the officiating in are baseball and football, so my vote really just says that NFL officiating is worse than MLB officiating.

But the NFL officiating has been so horrible across the board this year that I can't imagine how bad it is in the other sports if they are worse than that.

I laugh that you have NASCAR there.
But I do have something to show you regarding that. Though not a "NASCAR" race, the following incident happened at one of the biggest short track events this year.

for all the calls that MLB, NFL guys make they are very good, NBA refs don't even know what a travel is, or acceptable continuation, there is no consistency in NBA officiating like in the NFL and MLB, i mean a strike is basically a strike and a hold is a hold

There's a LOT more to NFL officiating than holding, and there's a LOT more to MLB umpiring than balls and strikes. (And the UMPs **** those up all the time.)

I feel like this is a bullshit poll. They all get 99% of the calls right every game. It's the few they **** up that we all get on them for. They do an excellent, amazing job, but they're human. Let them officiate. So they **** up a call every once in a while . Not really a big deal. I have a ton of respect for officials, and I wouldn't be surprised if I got into either umping or reffing NFL a while down the road. I enjoy it the few times I've done it.

It's usually 90, though.

It's a lot, that's my point. 99% is an exaggeration, yes. But my point is that they're damn good at what they do.

If i **** up at work I'm not going to be excused because I do my job correctly more often than I don't.

You can't just blindly state that they get it right 90-99 percent of the time when you don't have any real data to back that statement up.

All I know is, as a casual observer watching a lot of games, they seem to be ****ing up a lot in the NFL.

It's a job where it's IMPOSSIBLE to be perfect. And the media loves to get on officials when they have the opportunity. That's why it seems like they're doing way worse of a job.
