Usain Bolt is CRAZY. He just ran 19.30 in the final. 19.30!!!!!! And there was a headwind. He ran hard the whole way for the first time. Just smashed Michael Johnson's WR. This is AMAZING.

The US track team sucks. Majorly. Tyson Gay = choke artist. Women's team = just downright awful. We had 6 events with defending 2007 World Champions, and of those 6 events, we managed 1, count em, 1 medal from those 6 defending champions. That would be a silver by Allyson Felix in the Women's 200. Everyone else missed the podium completely.

At least the women's relay team picked up the baton and finished the race

Tyson Gay just looked around like an idiot and had a "whatever" look on his face when he dropped the stick. Too classic.

well Gay was immediately disqualified since he left the designated area without the baton. the Women didn't leave so they weren't DQ'ed. They were technically still in the race

Nope. The women were also disqualified. Lauryn Williams left the exchange zone without the stick, but she ran back to pick it up and finished the race even though they were already disqualified.

What's the point of doing that? You're already DQ'ed. I wouldn't want to run as fast as I can and get tired if it's not really for anything, especially with the thought of the huge disappointment running through my mind

Well she didn't inject all those steroids in her body just to stand around and mope. Might as well run off those last 100 metres to at least complete your race.
