Golf Tiger's Knee Finally Gives In: Woods to Have Season Ending Surgery

According to ESPN, Tiger suffered a stress fracture in his already surgically repaired left knee about a week or two before the US Open. This would explain the large amount of pain he was experiencing during the tournament.

The Golf Channel is reporting that he will also have minor surgery on his ACL. He will still fulfill his obligation to sponsors at the Buick Invitational next week as well as at the British Open.

How good is Tiger? He STILL won the US Open while walking around and putting massive amounts of torque on a stress fracture and a bum ACL. He's the f*ckin man.

He should play the British Open and PGA Championship in a wheelchair. He'll probably still finish in the top 10.

He could probably just use his putter at the British and do decently.

He could use a baseball bat, tennis racket, and a spoon and beat half the field.

update: Tiger will have FULL reconstructive ACL surgery, not minor as I stated before. Unbelievable. He won with a f*cking torn ACL.

Here's an even cooler though: he told his doctor he was going to win despite knowledge of these stress fractures. His doctors told him to shut up and get on crutches for 3 weeks. So Tiger said "**** you," put on his shoes, and went to practice. This man is a machine.

As someone who had three knee surgeries in two months, what he did is as close to being Jesus as you can get. Walking 91 holes to win the US Open on a knee where he torn his ACL and acquired a stress fracture during play is amazing. I know 3 weeks after my surgery, I was just getting out of a wheelchair. It was definitely worth it as the legend of Tiger grew even more and was one hell of a match on Monday. Him and Rocco made golf exciting for me for the first time. I actually had to pleasure of watching it with a bunch of 50 year olds at my golf range and we were on the edge of our seats while sipping our beers. Thanks for the show Tiger, now go away!

That is just ridiculous...and people wanna question Tiger being the best athlete around because he's a golfer.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Nevermind, I misread what you wrote. I thought you said that you were pleasuring a bunch of 50 year old men.

This guy is like Costner on Tin Cup.

He could win the British Open with just a 7-iron, a shovel and other garden tools in his bag while his wife pushes him around the course.
