Thank you for injecting some sensibility into this otherwise insane thread.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

They may be the most storied NBA franchise, but you have to remember I wasn't until 1992 and probably didn't put down my Barbie dolls till the year 2000 to even pay any attention to the NBA.

I agree you try to improve, but this is just ridiculous. By that logic, every team is a story. And to an extent they are. But a true story is the NY Giants this past year, or the Rockies, or if the freaking Rays win a WS. This is just a team of great players doing what they SHOULD be able to do.

Sports don't work out well for me.
No wonder you're so negative, Nancy. Hey, they're starting anew, sort of. Cheer up, maybe they'll win 30 games.

Should be able to do? Didn't work that way with Garnett, Spree, and Cassell. And didn't work that with with Ray Allen, Sam Cassell, and GRob. Wait, Cassell is everywhere.

Nevermind. Yeah, it should work, the space alien isn't a starter for Boston.

Lets be fair, KG/Spree/Cassell and Allen/Cassell/GRob is not quite the same as KG/Allen/Pierce.

In fact, out of those 7 players, KG, Allen, and Pierce are the three best. The team is just loaded. And to have vets like Eddie House and James Posey (and cassell) off the bench, they SHOULD win a championship.

Wouldn't count on it. They'll draft freakin' Donte Greene and be set back another 6 years when he can't figure out defense, interior offense, or CONSISTENCY!

Umm, the Red Sox? The Red Wings? The Yankees of 1998, 1999, 2000?

Cassell doesn't start, and Kendrick Perkins is a better center than Ervin Johnson and ..whatever the timberwolves had.. Dean Garrett? Michael Olowokandi? Also, the wolves six men were Trenton Hassell and Mark Madsen, the bucks- I have no idea. James Posey alone is better than what they had. Throw in Powe, Brown, Davis, etc. The better trios were the the younger ones, but they never had the other pieces.

The rockets tried winning it all with a mega trio once, Olajuwon-Barkley-Drexler. But they had no bench and no point guard.

True. The Rockets are probably the closest to this team that I can think of. Of course, this team has Rondo, who's a good PG....not that playing with Allen/Pierce/Garnett doesn't help him look good...

They won't take him at 6. If they take someone that flusters the fans, it'll be Randolph or Gallinari
