    CO takes it in 6

Colorado beats MN 2-1 in Denver to clinch a first round victory. The Avs held Wild star Marion Gaborik to only 1 point in the entire series, an assist in Game 6.

Jose Theadore was a monster in goal for CO. He never allowed more than 3 goals in a single game, while taking on a flurry of offense in games 5 and 6. Definately a solid performer when it matters most.

Congrats to Colorado, played a great series. Keep it up.

And Minnesota, also played a great series. Just couldn't catch a break. We'll get 'em next year.

Great game tonight. My brother's team has been the Avs and that veteran presence really shined in the third. Sakic, Forsberg and Foote all really shined in the end there; but Jose Theodore was the key to success with stopping 75 of 78 shots in the last two games.

if the Wild are clicking it's hard to stop them with their speed and skill but they weren't and the reason was Theodore

if Detroit advances too, we will get to see a DET/COL series, but that will never be the same as the late 90's match ups

It won't be quite the same, but they were buzzing in Denver tonight and with getting some of that old core back... some of those feelings could reemerge.

The Sharks/Flames series isn't over yet, so it's a bit early to declare a DET/COL series. Speaking of the old Avs, I find it amusing now that Marc Crawford was once considered the second best head coach in the NHL.

won't matter if SJ or CGY wins since Colorado is the 7th seed and Calgary is the 6th
