The wait is over, Pryor chooses the Buckeyes

ESPN - Top-ranked QB Pryor commits to Ohio State - Insider

Terrelle Pryor, the nation's top-ranked high school quarterback according to the ESPN 150 and the top unsigned senior, announced that he'll attend Ohio State at the news conference at his high school in Pennsylvania on Wednesday.

    Luginbill's Analysis

While we have always said no one player makes a recruiting class, this is a pretty big fish for the Ohio State Buckeyes if Pryor pans out. He is the kind of player in today's game who physically can give you every element you want in your offense and scheme.
It will be very intriguing to see how he fits in the interim and long term as far as OSU tweaking its scheme to his abilities. The Buckeyes had experience doing so before with Troy Smith, but while Smith was a much better passer than Pryor, Pryor is the superior runner and must develop as a passer. This move will escalate Ohio State above USC in our final class rankings, to the No. 6 spot, with a total of eight ESPN 150 prospects. Quarterback was a pivotal position the Buckeyes had to address, and in Pryor they get one to build around both in talent and scheme. Whether Pryor realizes it or not, this is the best move he could have made for his future. Pressure isn't high in Columbus with Todd Boeckman and 20 starters returning, which allows Pryor to develop as a passer without being thrown to the wolves right away. He could have a role much like Tim Tebow did at Florida as a freshman, where they gave him doses of the offense and sprinkled him in the game for a chance for early success. How Pryor adjusts to the steep jump in talent and develops in the passing game will ultimately determine his success throughout his tenure as a Buckeye.

"When I called Coach Tress he welcomed me to the Ohio State family," said Pryor, who made his decision hours before the announcement.
His decision comes six weeks after the Feb. 6 national signing day when seniors normally sign their binding national letter and four days after the Jeannette Jayhawks made WPIAL history by winning the PIAA Class AA state boys' basketball championship. In December, the school won the state football title. No other Western Pennsylvania school has pulled off that unthinkable double.

As a Buckeyes fan, this is just the best news I've heard since before the Nat'l Championship game started.
