John Daly Does It Again

Here's the gist of the story:
Daly, in an interesting turn of events, was fired by his swing coach and disqualified from the Arnold Palmer Invitational in the same day. He says when he asked when his pro-am tee-time was, the lady on the phone instead gave him his Palmer Invitational tee-time. This is ultimately his fault, and like a mature adult he took responsibility for it and apologized to Arnold.
However, the more interesting story is what his swing coach said about Daly. Everyone knows the connection between John Daly and alcohol is not a pretty one. His swing coach, Butch Harmon, said, "My whole goal for him was he’s got to show me golf is the most important thing in his life. And the most important thing in his life is getting drunk." That's big. I thought Daly was finally making a comeback (although his performance this year so far says otherwise), and was getting over alcohol. I guess not.

I don't know who here follows golf too much, but I'm a HUGE golf fan. I am a John Daly fan as well. However, I feel like there an immense amount of talent and potential this man possesses, and he is throwing it all away. A truly sad story. I just wanted to see if anyone has any thoughts about Daly, this event, or in general, about athletes who feel like they are Superman and can get away with anything they want (nightclubs, guns, crime, alcohol, drugs, etc.), when really they are throwing away an opportunity most people would kill for.

This Daly crap ended up getting 2 other guys(Imada, O'Hern) with much better chances getting DQ'd too.

And I was going to use Imada in fantasy this week. Asshole John Daly. :|
