I said that and also said I figured it'd win the last two big ones. Forgot about the damn screenplay stuff. Paul Haggis was robbed! (but I figured he would be)

Wow, Crash won. That was a huge surprise. Check out the reactions on everyone. They're like, "WTF?"

Yeah, right after Brokeback takes two straight awards for Screenplay and Directing too. Big surprise there, IMO.

All in all, a pretty boring year for awards.

I saw most of the films up for awards (except for the stupd thing slike short film and animated feature and stuff). Only ones I didn't get to see yet (I think) are Munich, Hustle & flow, and Mrs. Henderson Presents.

    Best movie - Brokeback Mountain
Best director - Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain)
Best actor - Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain)
Best actress - Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line)-tight battle here
Best supporting actor - Matt Dillon (Crash)
Best supporting actress - Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener)

"and that's all I have to say about that."
3-of-6, hah, which is not too bad, I guess. I'm like Todd Helton.

I'll be anticipating Munich, Syriana, and Goodnight and Goodluck when they come out on DVD.

I own that film. That was a fanastic freakin' movie. It takes a lot for me to really get emotional while watching a movie and I had to stop the movie and cry like a baby for a few minutes during the sidewalk scene outside the locksmith's house. (won't say anything to NOT give it away). That was played out so well and just hit me like a wrecking ball.

Major applause to the Acadamy for actually recognizing a movie that truly deserved BEST PICTURE!

I should rephrase that. But in the last 10 years, only 3 movies that I really thought deserved to win, actually won best picture. (Lord of the Rings 3, Gladiator, American Beauty)

I feel like I'm the only one in America that actually did not like American Beauty.

As for Crash, just a great film all around. Don Cheadle and Matt Dillion did wonders in that movie and I'm glad I actually bothered to check it out. I think I might just buy it at the local video store now, they have a 5 for 30 sale going on.

FYI, I hate American Beauty. Whoever wrote and directed that must have been doing some serious narcotics. It's a horrible movie.

I didn't like the Lord of the Rings movies either. Yuck.

Yeah, well Mendes can go f*ck himself. His movie directing skills suck. And whoever wrote it, especially.
