I said that and also said I figured it'd win the last two big ones. Forgot about the damn screenplay stuff. Paul Haggis was robbed! (but I figured he would be)Quote:

Wow, Crash won. That was a huge surprise. Check out the reactions on everyone. They're like, "WTF?"
WON!? As in best picture!?
WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO! Outstanding. There is still some semblence of sanity left in Hollywood!
I actually saw that film. Woohoo!
Yeah, right after Brokeback takes two straight awards for Screenplay and Directing too. Big surprise there, IMO.
All in all, a pretty boring year for awards.
I saw most of the films up for awards (except for the stupd thing slike short film and animated feature and stuff). Only ones I didn't get to see yet (I think) are Munich, Hustle & flow, and Mrs. Henderson Presents.
3-of-6, hah, which is not too bad, I guess. I'm like Todd Helton.Quote:

I own that film. That was a fanastic freakin' movie. It takes a lot for me to really get emotional while watching a movie and I had to stop the movie and cry like a baby for a few minutes during the sidewalk scene outside the locksmith's house. (won't say anything to NOT give it away). That was played out so well and just hit me like a wrecking ball.Quote:

I should rephrase that. But in the last 10 years, only 3 movies that I really thought deserved to win, actually won best picture. (Lord of the Rings 3, Gladiator, American Beauty)
I feel like I'm the only one in America that actually did not like American Beauty.
As for Crash, just a great film all around. Don Cheadle and Matt Dillion did wonders in that movie and I'm glad I actually bothered to check it out. I think I might just buy it at the local video store now, they have a 5 for 30 sale going on.
FYI, I hate American Beauty. Whoever wrote and directed that must have been doing some serious narcotics. It's a horrible movie.
I didn't like the Lord of the Rings movies either. Yuck.
Sam Mendes directed it.
Yeah, well Mendes can go f*ck himself. His movie directing skills suck. And whoever wrote it, especially.
I'm sure Jarhead isn't so bad.
