Is anyone getting tickets?

Of course, the jackpot is probably annuitized, so if you win, make sure to take the lump sum payment. And e-mail me, I need a couple million from you.

I'll go a few metro stops down across into DC and pick up one
As for the lump sum... after the buy down and the taxes, etc.. you will be looking at getting about 25% of the official jackpot.. so in this case, about 85Mil
I'd love to buy a powerball ticket....except I HAVE TO BE 19 TO BUY ONE IN THE STATE OF NEBRASKA!
Is 19 the age where you could buy a ticket where you guys live?
18 I believe... but then again... I am not one that has to worry about age restrictions, and I have not for a long time now
18 here Husker.
Don't know if my family will be buying any of the powerball tickets, but geez even 85 million would be good.
I was thinking 21, but maybe 18 here. I'm not sure, I've never bought numbers or scratch offs before.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!
The 2074 MSL NL Gold Glove Recipient at Third Base.
I would be happy with winning 50 dollars, let alone... well. I really don't know how I'd react if I won that much. Heart attack ensues I figure.

18 here...I've played before, never won more than $7...waste of money
Dave, you're also assuming you're the only person that wins it...if more than one person gets the jackpot, then you get less and less
Waste of money? A lotto ticket is $1. I can find at least five in my couch. $340 million just has a nice ring to it but I would be going with the nice cash option.$$$$$
It's a waste as you have better odds of getting struck by lightning twice...
I'll be buying a few tickets. Certainly not a lot, but a couple nonetheless.
I won $7 last wednesday. I guess I'm stuck not winning squat for another 5 years. (last time I won $7 was in 1999 or 2000 and I haven't won anything since).
Here are some interesting facts:
Being struck by lightning-1 in 3,000.
Being killed in a plane crash(or air travel accident)-1 in 20,000
Being killed in an asteroid impact-1 in 200,000
Winning the Powerball jackpot-1 in 146,107,962
One person in Oregon. $340 million dollars.
I was going to get a few tickets this afternoon. Instead I sat and played video games until 8:00, then took the kids out for a treat. I remembered at 8:59 about the lottery.
What a dumbass. While the odds suck, you gotta remember this. The odds are slightly skewed. Your odds of winning for a single ticket are 1:150million. If you buy 5 tickets, obviously that goes down by the same denominator.
Plus, your odds are infinitely better if you buy a ticket vs sitting on your dumb ass so long you don't have one at all.

my odds of not losing a dollar or two are much better if I just sit on my ass.
