But that's not the definition of "White Pizza". That's not the same as "pizza." It still doesn't make someone saying they like sauce on pizza an IMPLIED thing, because there are different BRANDS of pizza that don't have sauce on them. Implying something would mean you would automatically assume it and that's not the case here.

Also, that little "e.g." simple is "Egyptian" and basically means "for example". That doesn't mean those items are mutually exclusive.

that's the definition of a pizza. get over it. By definition a pizza has dough, sauce, and cheese plus other toppings. That is what a pizza is. White pizza is a type of pizza like a mushroom pizza as I already stated.

It's a type of pizza, so it's not IMPLIED that the pizza would have sauce. There is a chance someone would like ONLY that type of pizza which doesn't include sauce! It's a pretty simplistic concept.

as I said before then, since dough and sauce is a kind of pizza that means cheese is not implied by your logic. And again, by your logic pizza = dough and therefore pizza = a slice of bread, a dough boy, a roll, etc....

I plan on getting a pizza tomorrow and by that I mean eat a piece of bread....hmmm pizza, err bread. pretty simple everyone, eh?

and furthermore by your logic every kind of sandwich is a pizza as well since bread alone is a pizza. Next time you have a "turkey sandwich" everyone, realize that it's really a pizza with turkey and whatever else on it

It's different with cheese, because I've personally(correct me if I'm wrong) never seen a pizza without cheese. I HAVE seen pizza without sauce, which makes that a different animal than saying that it is implied that a pizza has sauce.

just because you haven't seen it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist

    Here you go:

    Pizza strips
Rectangular slices of crust slathered with spicy pizza sauce. They have no cheese and are properly served at room temperature.

Here is a cartoon picture to illustrate to those who have trouble grasping the concept:

Great. I stand corrected. That means that cheese isn't implied as being on pizza either. Using the word IMPLIED is where the statement was wrong. Asking: "Don't most people like sauce on their pizza?" would have been different, but not saying: "Isn't it IMPLIED..."? That's the difference.

When you order a pizza, do they ask "With or without sauce" ?
