stop pretending you get the references.
fat bearded guy randomly killing folks? Seems like poking fun at Martin. If there's anything more than that, I don't get it.

I don't think I watch any of the shows y'all discuss. I don't really watch TV anymore either though.

Last episode of GOT: Tyrion's speech to Jaime about their developmentally disabled cousin who did nothing more than smash beetles all the time saying, "Khuh! khu! khuh!" It's a perfect cartoon and, yes, it is exactly what Martin does. I used to like him back when he was an up and coming Sci-Fi writer in the late 70's. Now he annoys me with the Ice and Fire books.
I like the books, he's just soooooo fucking slow finishing them
Giants riding mammoths. Hammer through the skull of a Thenn and dead Ygritte. Another good episode last night. I enjoyed that they stayed entirely on the Wall for this episode. It would have been real bad if they were jumping around Westeros keeping all the stories going

It's gonna be interesting to see how they do next season because books 4 and 5 run in tandem focusing on Kings Landing, Dorne and the Iron Islands in book 4 and North of the Wall and across the seas in book 5. There are 2 seasons worth of stuff that they'll have to work out and coordinate so no characters get left behind.

Finished the first season of The Following. Started off as a pretty good show with a really interesting premise, but before the season was even half-over, it got so ridiculous that it took a lot out of it for me. I have too many gripes to list. Overall, I guess I enjoyed it, but it didn't end anywhere near as good as it started. 3 or 4 of the cast members were pretty good, the rest were either completely dismissable or hateable right from the start.
Glad it's over. I already have ideas of how they bridge the end of S1 to S2, but I'm not sure how far they can successfully go with it.
Hopefully going to get into the start of True Detective tonight.
Also, I got through the first 3 episodes of Ray Donovan. That's not a bad show so far, but for the love of God, what is it with these cable shows that have good male leads and then they have wives that are more evil and annoying than satan's taint!? The woman that plays Ray's wife is SOOOOOO annoying. Even Skylar White wasn't this annoying after only 2 or 3 episodes.
