Did you lose a bet on Scream 4?
Did you lose a bet on Scream 4?
Saw Captain America yesterday. Solid but unspectacular I think. I liked the portrayal of Howard Stark. It instantly reminds you of the quirky way Downey JR. Portrays Tony Stark.
But I can't wait for The Avengers.
nah, the guy i usually buy them off of, gave me a 10 for $20 deal. so by the time i got through 4 or 5, i was running out of things i actually wanted to see... which led to scream, harry potter, fast five and a couple other shitboxes just getting thrown in, for drunken nights on my day off. though ironically, harry potter was the first one i actually sat down and watched.
Fast Five was awesome.
Not being sarcastic either.
Insidious was almost as bad as Paranormal Activity in terms of claimed scare factor to actual scare factor.
However, unlike Paranormal Activity, it was actually a good movie despite not following through on the widespread claims of scariness.
Maybe I just have a higher tolerance, though.

Seen so far, and ratings...
X-Men: First Class (A-) I don't know a thing about X-Men, and I loved it. The two leads were excellent.
Thor (B+) So much better than it had any right to be. "I Need A Horse!" was the funniest line I've heard in years.
Super 8 (B) A bit too 80's Spielbergian for me, but had a big heart and good humor and action.
Horrible Bosses (B) Spectacularly cast, though it all wrapped up a little too neatly.
Your Highness (B-) Not a good movie in any regards. But wow, did I laugh and turn my brain firmly into the off switch. Danny McBride could read the phone book and I'd love it.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 (C) As a Potter fanatic...I was disappointed. So many of the page to screen adaptations were pointless, and drove the story down. The climactic battle was such a letdown.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (F) One of the worst cinematic experiences of my life. I wrote a 15 paragraph Facebook note when returning home. The first remains my favorite movie of all-time. But I've never wanted to leave the theatre more in this case.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
I'm looking forward to seeing Moneyball, although I'm not sure Brad Pitt is the right choice to play Billy Beane.
"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans...." John Lennon
terrible movie. i wouldve liked it infinitely more if they ended the movie about 5 minutes earlier than they did (or an hour and a half earlier), at least the ending wouldnt have been as cookie cutter. i guess i liked it more than 3... that doesnt say much at all however.
Saw Captain America, I would give it a 8 out of 10.
Saw "Rise of the Planet Of The Apes", it was actually pretty good and considering I missed watching my team getting their butts reamed on live TV it was worth going to see.
I watched "Remember Me" (2010), it was better than I expected, didn't look all that appealing in trailers at the time, ending was definitely a surprise.
Since I had an early evening last night with the Rays condensed game I watched "Insidious"...I actually thought it was pretty darn good. I like the actor though that plays the Dad and have followed his career as his father has been a local anchorman for decades.
