Which is the bigger TV show cancellation so far...

Law and Order (20 seasons) or 24 (8 seasons)?

    Neither.
    Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
    Ted
: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
    Barney: Circle gets the square!

Both really needed to go. Same for Heroes.

Hey, I didn't know Sam Waterston also did the TD Ameritrade commercials. I always thought he looked familiar.

24, because Law and Order is continuing... in some form. It wasn't long ago that 24 was still a ratings darling and one of FOX's big guns along with American Idol. I thought at the very least it had enough pulling power to get a "final" season with advanced notice, ala LOST.

It was still a ratings power into Season 7 and "Heroes" would kill to sniff a 9.36 this season to date. Cost of production must have also factored in the decision.
