I recently added him to my Twiiter feed (IMO the best thing about Twitter, the ability to add cool people you will never know, and see their thoughts, but I digress)
and to me he seems knowledgeable, but will never move away from his position, and tries to convert those "non believers"

Now I have never seen the show he is on (don't get that in the GWN) so I am sure that may affect my opinion.

So I ask of your opinions, thoughts, on Skip Bayless.

First Take would be really boring without him. I don't agree with him all the time but the fact that he can get animated and ridiculous makes for fun TV.

Mission, I don't think he makes for fun TV. I haven't been able to keep him on for more than 10 minutes without either changing the channel or turning off the TV. I just can't do it. He bugs the shit out of me. I don't even know if he actually agrees with half the stuff he says because a) it's just so ridiculous and b) it's usually just to be different. And that really bothers me.

i can tolerate him for longer than i could screamin a. but not by all that much.

Have any of you ever by chance seen his brother Rick, either on his cooking show or on Iron Chef America? He looks like Skip, only with gay-looking silver facial stubble. What gets me is Rick is so chill that he kind of comes off as a dork, which is the exact opposite personality of Skip the blowhard.

Over time, the thing that surprised me most about Bayless was how much I agreed with him when he reviewed movies. He didn't necessarily buy into the art house film critic philosophy that if it's not a biopic about someone with issues, it must suck. So that was pretty cool. And his love for rap.. hahaha
