Movie Pick 'Ums: Keanu the Alien

It's being hyped up as sort of a big movie and I don't think John Leguizamo's Christmas movie is going to offer up enough competition. It is after all, John Leguizamo.

This week, vote on what you think The Day the Earth Stood Still will make its opening weekend.




First impression: Uhhh.. Cloverfield meets War of the Worlds minus shaky cameras and a great director. Oh, and every time Keanu is in a suit, I feel like it's Constantine II. Will Smith's kid is in this, will he follow in dad's blockbuster footsteps? Jon Hamm is also in this, he of Mad Men fame.

I got nothing else, yawn.

Fox's remake of the sci-fi classic "The Day the Earth Stood Still" survived critics' toxic attacks in weekend-winning style, as the Keanu Reeves starrer landed atop the domestic boxoffice with an estimated $31 million in opening grosses.
