What about that collision between Damon and Dye? Or was it someone else, it was when Damon played for the A's for one year it was during the divisional round, I forgot what year, I believe Easly was involved aswell, A's correct me if I'm wrong(lol because I know I got it mixed up)

The collision between Beltran and Cameron and Damon and Easley were not as brutal as what happened to me. Two fast guys running full speed diving head first into one another.

Opinion Re: Blackburn Liner: Have you ever had a similar sports experience?

Back when I played, I was a catcher and I got hit in the adams apple by a foul tip. Holy crap, I thought I was gonna die. Don't ever get hit there. Second only to being hit in the nards.

This thread brings up something I have been thinking about for quite some time. When I played, yes, I also pitched sometimes, we were taught that after the ball is released, the very first thing that you do is ready yourself for a liner coming right back to you. First for your own safety but also to make the play.

In today's game I don't see guys do that. Some guys dodge the ball as it comes by them. It drives me nuts to see that. I was thinking that Greg Maddux must have been taught like I was taught, as how else could he have gotten those 16 gold gloves for his defense? Check it out and you'll see what I'm talking about.

    Damion Jackson, not Easley
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Very true...but I've never vomited from that.

I would've slapped him in the face with the tag...

I'm a dirty SOB like that...if I'm blocking the bag, and someone comes in cleats high, I always slap them in the face.

An eye for an eye, ya dig.

I thought about that quite a bit while I was in the ER. Guess I was a little late in my reasoning...

I would have definately gone after that SOB if I had been able to walk, and I so would have taken him down in the next game that we were to play against them, but unfortunately I never got the chance. It was his senior year and my frosh year, so he hightailed it outta town as soon as school got out.

I would've done it when I saw what he was doing.

I got thrown out of a LL game for "unsportsmanlike conduct" after I nailed a kid who knocked out catcher out of the game in the chest with a fastball.

I was 12 at the time.

Wow. When you say dirty SOB, you really mean it! Actually I did something almost exactly like that, only backwards. The other team's pitcher nailed our shortstop, so the nest time I got on base I completely upended their shortstop and left him with a gash on his leg. Can't remember if I was thrown out though.

    Haha.

I've gotten ejected 3 times from baseball games.

    That was the first time.

The second was when I threw the bat and it hit the pitcher

The third time was when I started a fight after a kid slid in cleats high to 3rd, I tagged him on the mouth, he got up and swung at me, and I tackled him.

The whole team went apeshit...we ended up with only 9 players, but we still won the game.

That was probably the funniest game of my life.

You don't get that in cheerleading.

Haha three times? And throwing the bat at the pitcher? Never done that, but I have charged the mound after various pitchers throwing at me. Gave em all pretty good shiners too, now that I think about it. But never threw the bat. Ah, the priceless moments of baseball.

    Comebackers, how about slapshots?

Played goalie in a little tournament at uni the other year. The worst shot caught me just above the pads, but below the pants. I had a set of thin knee pads on, but they did little to protect that frozen piece of rubber. Couldn't walk normal for a couple of days.

I didn't throw the bat at him...but I let it go and my follow through and it hit him...it was immediate ejection
