Thumbs Up Why didn't I think of this?

This is a picture of excellence. It a wall outlet with USB ports. Are you kidding me? This would've been too easy to think of. Somone just got rich. And I cannot wait to get this, it is so practical.

What would be the point of plugging a USB port into your wall?

Charging things using USB. iPhone, iPod, PS3 controllers, so much more...

If you don't have anymore room on your computer, or your computer isn't close and you have this outlet more readily available, you have a solution. It is something that would really be nice if the original outlet were replced with these. A lot of electronic devices today require a USB port.

Probably much cheaper to get the wall adapter then change the outlet, and the wall adapter works in more than that one place.

I think the consensus here is that this thing would be used to replace all outlets. I mean, why not make the outlet we have now obsolete?

Then I'd have to get adapters for everything I own that has the standard plug.

You mean the two prong plug? I am not sure how that won't fit into this outlet. Or are you talking about something else?

Re: Why didn't I think of this?

I meant the two prong plug, and the fact that it wouldn't fit was precisely my point.

Although, now that I re-read what I quoted I realize it probably meant the picture in the original post that has both, not making everything a USB plug as I originally read it to mean.

Huh. Hope they bother to run the ground into those US outlets then, otherwise you're Ifag devices might blow up with those things.
