    300

I heard a lot about this movie before it came out. I decided to see what the fuss is about. From the get go, you realized that this movie was centered around the fight scenes. I kinda compared this to the Protector. Great fight scenes/iffy plot that went nowhere else. As for the hype, this movie could have been better. Probably the 2nd best movie i've seen this year so far. The movie is based of the 300 Spartan's movie before I was born. When the Persians threatens Spartacus to surrender, He goes with 300 of his best men to take on the entire army of Persia. As the war wages on, the predictablity of the movie comes into play the the massive Persian army finally caves in the Spartan Army. It does leave some room for a sequel but theres not a lot to go on.

I must be the only one who didn't think this was that good. I guess it's good for some mindless fun on a Friday night, but nothing about the movie made me believe I'll remember it 10 years from now.

The Visuals really make the movie, but this is not on a level with Shooter or Departed.

I never saw Shooter, but The Departed was definitely superior to this film.
