Re: Strike Three's Random Insanity Thread

    My past two days:

Working from like 6 AM to 12 PM
Meeting with a team over a school project 1 PM to 4 PM
Got coffee at Boston Stokers 4:30 to 4:45
Accounting project questions from 5:30 to 8:00
    Simpsons
Assembling the 25 page + team project, most of which I have to correct what was sent to me (the cites were atrocious) but thankfully I wrote over half of the paper which was fine 8:30 to 12:00
Getting my clothes ironed and found, practicing my presentation, checking our how bad the Reds lost til 3:00 AM
    Slept til 7:00 AM

Got up, had breakfast and some honest to god relaxation til 8:30
Got dressed and left for classes
Class and a Presentation til 11:30
Came home, sim and then fell asleep from 12:30 til 2 ish
Things have calmed down since a bit as I have had some real meals actually but I have had a macro analysis homework to do, accounting homework to do, stats homework to just finish a question or two up... and I still have a quiz to study for so we're at 4:30 and onward for all of that.

What's the point of this? I can't wait until next week is over when classes will be dead and gone.

I'm at 152 hours of work now for a class that I needed to take in order to graduate this June. Election night is next Tuesday so I plan on working at the office for 14-16 hours. It's going to suck, but thankfully this isn't the presidential elections.

I have a ten to fifteen page paper to bullshit by next Tuesday.. this won't be pretty.

Other than that, finals aren't very stressful.

Is the work in college all it's cracked up to be?...all I've been hearing about it is horror stories of finals and papers.

    It depends where you're at.

I've been in a private university, and a community college. But I haven't gotten any assignments that I couldn't handle or anything. Nothing horrifying, just a little pain in the ass. That's all.

I don't think I could get through it sober.

Really depends on where you go and what your major is. At my school? It's pretty ugly. At some other places? Not so much.

Re: Strike Three's Random Insanity Thread

Pretty much. I would suggest though to ease the load by trying to mix your schedule with classes you know you would have success in with those you know you'll have to work at harder to get. I had a cake semester in the fall compared to now, I wish I could of balanced the two a bit out.

I've been putting in 10 plus hours of study for exams since Thursday, which is tough considering I've had a wake, a funeral and family stuff to do. Today I've gone about 12 and I plan to keep at it for quite some time. Financial accounting exam tomorrow at 8 AM is how I kick off my day, can't wait.

When I've mixed in classes that are easy with harder ones, I almost always end up getting great grades in the harder classes and do worse in the easier classes.

That has happened occasionally too me, but more in high school than college. It's always nice to find that right mix though between more concept number related classes and the more essay/report type of classes though.

And I am proud to say for the first time in now three years, I didn't waste the study days my university gives to us (luckily) on drinking or goofing off. I feel like crap about not being prepared enough right now, let alone if I did that.
