    MLB:07 The Show

    Just got it.

Overall, I love the game as much as last year's and I love the new features.

And it gets bonus points for having a Chevelle song on the track.

    9th overall.

A funny thing about that, since you brought it up, the Giants rank lower in all catagories than the Padres (hitting, pitching, defense) but are ranked higher overall for some reason. (8th)

    The Brewers rank #3 overall.

I'm surprised brewersfan19 hasn't seen that and exploded.

I haven't played a baseball game since EA Sports stopped making MVP Baseball...is this one anywhere near as good?
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

I bought the game also today. It's pretty good. It seems like there goal was to make you feel like you are in the game.

The new Road To The Show feature in Career mode is pretty awesome. It automaticlly skips thru games to your next appearance, weather that be in the field, catching a pop fly, etc or up to bat. They give you goals to achieve while batting, depending on the current situation. If you get on base, you control your player on the base paths; you can take a big league or steal but don't get careless or you could get picked off.

As far as I've seen, the broadcasting is the same from '06.

Just last night was did a little customizing MVP '05 to my liking. I installed the MVP 07 mod and added a TBS overlay. So now I will be playing both. They are both great games but I haven't played '07 The Show that much to decided which is better.

Yeah Wright is on the cover. That don't help the game any.

I like the way you play the game from your player's perspective at all times in the game, to include running the bases.

    I don't know, I haven't played 2k7.

But if 2k7 is anything like 2k5 (the last one of the series I played.) I probably wouldn't like it.

I believe the career mode is better. There is the classic mode. I'm assuming that is how it was last game but The Road to The Show mode is better.

I just bought MLB 2K7 last night but only got to play it briefly. What I did see was the realness is ridiculous. I was playing as the Reds in Colorado and the pitcher and batter's shirts would blow in the wind! During the replay of a nice pitch, you actually see blades of grass and grains of dirt. The player faces look even better.

Gameplay seems a little more finetuned on defense as well. The camera angles are pretty nice when fielding a groundball. And when turning a DP, it is not scared to go fancy when need be. Brandon Phillips made a large range stab behind 2B and flipped the ball behind his back to Alex Gonzalez who then turned the DP. Sick! And I controlled the whole thing.

My only complaint so far is that while they had up and coming spects on the game last year, they do not have them this season. If they haven't spent any time on an MLB roster, they are not in the game. So no Homer Bailey

I can't wait to get home from work and tool with my rosters to make them exact then start my season.
