Facebook is getting ridiculous.

Nobody posts their own thoughts anymore Most the shit people post are stupid pictures with some random face, cartoon, drawing, or celebrity on it with a borrowed quote that they thought was mildly amusing.

I mean this seriously, because I came to the Facebook game late, but it wasn't always that way? It always seemed to be to me, which is why I stuck with boards, because boards enable actual discussion on a variety of topics, something Facebook didn't seem to lend itself to.

I like Facebook for keeping up with family and friends expeciially with regard to recent and old photos. It's nice to see people's kids growing up and the occasion when someone uploads an old photo and others post reminiscing about the event or time period.

The part you can't see that's cut off of the whiney post at the bottom left goes on to talk about how Tina is going to tell all her friends how evil Magic Springs is because they deleted her post. How she's been a loyal customer for years giving them money and they don't care because they deleted her post.

By the way, her question (do they give military discounts?) can be answered by simply going to their website and clicking on the FAQ page.

Oh heck yes. Where I live spitless tobacco is still all the rage. I have had to take multiple trash cans back and leave them to soak in pine sol, bleach, and water to get the stain and that smell out of there.

Our entire country's political mindset that refuses to consider any candidate that doesn't have an (R) or (D) next to their name.

This stupid "two party system" (that's only a two party system because we allow it to be) does nothing but limit our options and polarize our country into two distinct sets of ideals.

To give a prime example of this (and these are purely random examples, so don't spin this into a debate) I can't be pro-life and pro-union in this country because those ideals fall on opposite ends of the fence.

Extreme Couponers

For starters, I don't even get how this stuff works. It has to be some kind of extreme loophole that people constantly get around because there's no way a grocery store is turning a profit selling a thousand dollars worth of groceries for 2 dollars (or free, even).

So, here we have people basically working full time in their homes (because that's what it takes) to basically cheat the system and then gloat about it on national television while I try to stretch my money on groceries.

And, it's like the show tries to sell itself as profiling self entitled douchebags. The episode that my wife was watching that inspired this rant was about a family of a grandfather, father, and 9 or 10 year old son who were all "extreme couponers". (I can go on a tangent rant about "couponers" here as well, but I digress).

Anyway, the boy is gearing up for his first "couponing" payoff tasked with racking up a large bill and not having to pay for it because of all his coupons. At one point the father mentions something to the effect of "...I get concerned about the other customers because we're in the checkout line with all our coupons and the guy behind us has to wait for all this..." to which the camera zooms in on the kid as he interrupts and says "Why should I care about them???" and then the father and him laughs.
